Salak fruit is also known as snake fruit or salacca zalacca. This is a fruit which grows in clusters at the base of the palm and they are also called snake fruit due to its reddish – brown scaly skin. The salak fruit consists of three lobes and each has large inedible seed. The lobes resemble. They have the consistency of large and peeled garlic cloves with white color.
