When you have a blockage of the healthy vessel that can lead to many serious conditions, then you have blood clots. A blood clot can happen in every vessel of your body and you should visit your doctor as soon as possible. In many cases, this condition is affecting people who are having problems with their weight or who are obese. But also people who are suffering from clinical conditions are having a risk of getting blood clots. In many cases when this condition is not cured, then it needs surgery to be done and in some cases when this condition is worsening, then it should be done amputation of a limb. There are many home remedies and natural cures which will help you to reduce the blood clot but is a better idea to stay active all the time because in this way you are protecting your overall health. When people are suffering from blood clots, then they should not use high-fat oils. Instead, they should use canola oil and mustard oil which are having low levels of fats.

Bread, beans, asparagus, sprouts, and Brussels sprouts

Salicylate–containing food and supplements

Salicylate is found in many products which are having acetylsalicylic acid which is having one active ingredient known as aspirin. Aspirin is affecting the platelets so this is one of the most used home remedies for preventing arterial clots for decades. But there should be done more studies about this natural remedy because in many cases is thought that it has side effects. You should take the prescribed intake amount of salicylates. Do not use more than the recommended dose by your doctor. Beverages which are having salicylates as their components are red and white wine, green and black tea, and pineapple juice. Foods which are having salicylates as their components are vinegar, honey, and most fruits such as grapes, oranges, blueberries, strawberries, cranberries, tangerines, cherries, and nectarine. Spices which are having salicylates as their components are dill, cinnamon, oregano, peppermint, turmeric, garam masala, ginger, cayenne, and curry powder, thyme, and paprika. [7]

Vitamin D

You can eat foods that are rich in this vitamin. Also, you can get Vitamin D from sunlight and supplements. We know that this vitamin has a vital role in our bone health. But also there are some studies in which is shown that this vitamin is changing some proteins which are responsible for blood clotting. But there should be done more studies about this topic because it is still not 100% sure if this vitamin is lowering the risk of blood clots. There was one study in Sweden in which 40.000 women who have looked at the sun for more than 11 years have reduced the risk of getting blood clots [8]. In this study, it was shown that the Vitamin D which is coming from the sunlight has played a vital role in this condition. But there was a study in Norway in which was shown that people who were taking Vitamin D have not reduced the risk of getting blood clots. Also, there are some studies which are shown that people who are having Vitamin D deficiency are having increased risk of getting this condition. We have said previously that there should be done more studies to be sure if this treatment will help in the prevention of blood clots.

Garlic

There are some components in the garlic which are reducing the risk of getting blood clots such as adenosine, paraffinic sulfide, and allicin. There are some studies in which is shown that people who have consumed garlic as their natural treatment have reduced the risk of getting a venous clot. But if you are taking garlic together with a prescription anticoagulant, then you are increasing the risk of getting blood clots.
