Home remedies for anti aging and glowing skin

We all desire young-looking skin. Dark spots, laugh lines, fine lines, crow’s feet, and wrinkles are the biggest nightmares of any woman. We cannot run away from aging, but we can delay it with home remedies.

Women in their 30s are spending a lot of money on chemical treatments or they wonder how long their anti-aging cream is going to give wrinkle-free skin.

There are many home remedies which can help you to fight against aging and have glowing skin without the need to add chemicals to your face.

8 things to avoid to have a glowing skin

A natural glow is a major indicator of healthy skin. But, there are some factors, like drinking alcohol, smoking, UV rays, pollution, diet, lack of nutritional diet, inadequate sleep, hectic work schedules, and stressful situations that can make your skin dull and dry.

All of the mentioned factors are taking part in our daily life and we cannot run from them. But, there are some things which you can do to prevent them, so do not doubt to take these home remedies.

15 Home remedies for anti-aging and glowing skin

If you want to have glowing and healthy skin, but at the same time, to stop the aging process of your skin, then you need home treatments which can help you to get this. You can talk with your doctor before you start using some of the below-mentioned home remedies, so in this way, you can avoid some side effects.

Get your favorite home remedy and try it. Every home remedy is better than chemicals, so it is worth trying it.

Amla

Amla is rich in antioxidant properties. This is a reason why it is widely used in hair care and skin care products. It boosts collagen production. It can prevent your skin from sagging.

You should mix:

  • two teaspoons of honey,
  • two teaspoons of amla powder,
  • one teaspoon of yogurt,
  • add hot water as required to adjust the consistency of the face pack so that it can be easily applied.

You should apply a thin layer to the face and neck. Then, let it dry for about 15 minutes before you wash it off.

You should apply this face pack once or twice per week. [1]

Lemon juice

Lemon has bleaching properties which make wonders to reduce the age spots and blemishes on the skin with regular use. This is one of the best home remedies which you can use if you want to lighten your skin and get rid of age spots and other blemishes.

You should take a few drops of pure lemon juice and apply them to the areas with age spots, blemishes, and dark patches.

After 10 – 15 minutes, rinse it off.

Get enough sleep

While you are sleeping, your body repairs damaged cells and replenishes old cells. But, your body needs at least 8 hours of sleep on a daily basis.

Smoking tobacco or cigarettes can make your skin unhealthy, so stay away from it.

It soothes the skin and will keep it hydrated. In turn, this will reduce the fine lines and wrinkles.

You should take a few drops of castor oil in your hands and massage it on the skin from your neck to your face.

You should let it stay there for an hour or so.

You need to do this home remedy every alternate day and it is recommended to leave the castor oil overnight. [5]

Flower mask

Marigold petals have moisturizing and skin-nourishing properties. Also, rose petals hydrate the skin with their Vitamin E content.

Also, they are excellent as skin toner, which makes the skin firm.

Chamomile flowers can soothe your skin and make it softer.

You should mix:

  • four drops of olive oil,
  • a handful of marigold flower petals,
  • a handful of rose petals,
  • a handful of chamomile flower petals,

and water and blend all the ingredients together.

You can add as much water as required to get a smooth consistency.

You should apply this mask to your face and keep it on for twenty minutes.

Then, wash off with cold water and apply a toner and moisturize the skin as usual.

Honey

One of the best home remedies you can use to treat aging is to obtain the purest form of bee’s honey.

Honey is the best natural moisturizer and it can help you to keep your wrinkles at bay. Our skin needs to be moisturized on daily basis, so it will stay healthy and the aging process will be delayed. Also, honey has antioxidants which can repair the damage caused by free radicals and rejuvenate the skin.

You should apply one to two tablespoons of organic honey on the face and neck and massage your face for a minute or two.

Then, let the honey stay on your skin for 15 – 20 minutes, and then rinse it with water. [6]

Aloe Vera

This home remedy has healing properties and it may stimulate new cell growth. Also, it can soothe and moisturize your skin without clogging pores. You can use Aloe Vera after you have washed your face each day because this will give your skin the healthy glow which it needs.

Some people are allergic to Aloe Vera.

So, you should test it first by rubbing a small amount on your forearm and if there is no reaction within 24 hours, then it should be safe for you. [7]

Probiotics

It has been noticed that probiotic supplements can boost your immune system, improve your digestion and reduce inflammation and bloating in your digestive tract. In one study done in 2014 is said that probiotics can lead to glowing skin. [8]

Eggs

Eggs are rich in Omega – 3 fatty acids which have anti-aging properties. Also, they have zinc which possesses anti-aging properties too.

Eggs can tighten the skin, which makes it firm and smooth.

You need to mix:

  • one egg white,
  • one–half teaspoon milk cream,
  • and one teaspoon lemon juice.

Then, apply this home remedy on your face and let it stay there for 15 minutes, and then rinse it with cold water.

You should apply this home remedy once every three days. [9]

Pineapple

This home remedy has phytochemicals and micronutrients which can help to diminish the first signs of aging. It is rich in Vitamin C, which can promote the optimum production of collagen in the skin.

This can help to reduce wrinkles and fine lines on your skin. You should gently rub a slice of ripe pineapple on your skin for about 5 minutes.

Then, let the juice stay on your face for ten minutes.

Then, rinse your face with water and do this home treatment two to three times per week. [10]

Coconut milk

Coconut has anti-aging properties and it can make your skin smooth and soft. Also, it has antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties which can help to keep wrinkles away.

You need to soak the cotton ball in the coconut milk and apply it over your face.

Then, after 20 minutes, you should rinse it with cool water.

You should repeat this natural treatment two to three times a week.

Potato juice

Potatoes are rich in Vitamin C, which can help to regenerate collagen which has been damaged and it can prevent the skin to lose its elasticity.

You can use this home remedy to treat your fine lines and wrinkles, so they will fade away with ease. You need to grate one small potato and squeeze the juice out of it.

Then, soak a cotton ball in it and apply it all over your face. You should leave the potato juice on your face for 15 minutes and then rinse it with cool water.

You need to mash 3 – 4 strawberries properly in a way that no lumps remain.

Then, apply this home remedy directly to your mind and let the face pack stay on your face for 10 – 12 minutes.
