Low blood pressure treatment – carrot juice and lemon juice

Low blood pressure is also known as hypotension. This is a condition in which a person’s blood pressure becomes so low that it causes symptoms such as cold, clammy skin, palpitations, blurred vision, difficulty breathing, nausea, fatigue, fainting, and dizziness. There are many cases in which people who have an ideal weight and who are physically fit and active generally have a blood pressure reading lower than the normal blood pressure.

The normal pressure is considered normal at 120/80 mm Hg.

This is not unhealthy, especially when the symptoms are not experienced. But when the readings consistently remain around 90/60 mm Hg or lower, then this is considered low blood pressure.

Also when the blood pressure is extremely low, then it can cause an inadequate flow of blood to organs such as the heart, kidneys, and brain

There are many conditions which can lead to low blood pressure such as neurological conditions, endocrine disorders, pregnancy, heart problems, a decrease in blood volume, nutritional deficiencies, prolonged bed rest, and dehydration. Also, there are some medications which can lead to a decrease in blood pressure such as antidepressants, diuretics, beta-blockers, and alpha-blockers.

When you have low blood pressure, and then usually are suggested to increase your fluid and salt intake. Bur before you increase your salt intake, you should talk with your doctor. You should cut down on high – carbohydrate foods such as potatoes, pasta, rice, and bread and on alcoholic drinks. The proper treatment of this condition depends on the underlying cause. Talk with your doctor before you start using these home remedies for your hypotension.

12 Home remedies for low blood pressure

Beetroot juice

Raw beetroot juice is a very effective natural treatment in dealing with low and high blood pressure [1,2]. If you have low blood pressure, then you should drink one cup of beetroot juice two times per day for a period of one week. Also, you can drink other natural fruit juices because they can also help you but firstly talk with your doctor.

Licorice root

Licorice root is also a very effective home remedy for normalizing low blood pressure which is caused by low levels of cortisol. This natural cure blocks the enzyme that breaks down cortisol and supports healthy adrenalin function. Also, this is a very effective natural cure for curing chronic fatigue symptoms.

In one cup of boiling water, you should steep one teaspoon of licorice root. You can use this herb in dried or powdered form. You should drink this tea every day for a period of a few days. Also, you can take 400 – 500 mg of licorice root capsules in a period of a few days. [3]

Holy basil

This natural cure is very beneficial for low blood pressure because it is rich in Vitamin C, potassium and magnesium, and pantothenic acid. Also, it reduces stress and balances the mind. You should extract the juice of ten to fifteen basil leaves. Add one teaspoon of honey to the juice. You should drink this natural cure every day on an empty stomach. But you should not make the coffee your habit because the long–term effects of this caffeinated beverage are not known.

Saltwater

Saltwater can help you to treat low blood pressure because the sodium in salt increases your blood pressure. You should not overdo this home remedy because the excess salt is unhealthy for your body. You should mix ½ teaspoon of salt in one glass of water and you should drink it. Also, you can drink sports beverages to get increase your blood pressure.

Rosemary

It is believed that this natural cure is useful in normalizing low blood pressure because it improves circulation and stimulates the central nervous system. You should take up to ten ml of rosemary tincture every day. You can add rosemary to your foods or you can have a freshly prepared infusion with rosemary. Also, you can add 3 – 4 drops of rosemary essential oil to your diffuser or aromatherapy benefits. [6]

This is one of the most used home remedies for low blood pressure. You should soak 5 – 6 almonds in water overnight. In the morning, you should peel off the skin and you should grind the almonds to make a smooth paste. You should boil this paste in one cup of milk. Lemon juice

This is a very effective home remedy in treating high blood pressure but also it can be used as a natural cure for low blood pressure, especially when it is caused by dehydration. In these cases, you should drink some lemon juice mixed with a small amount of sugar and salt. It can help you to energize your body by stimulating liver function and also it aids in digestion. Also, you can mix a teaspoon of lemon juice, salt, and sugarcane and you should drink one glass of it because it can help you with your low blood pressure. [7]

Carrot juice

You should start your day with fresh carrot juice mixed with a small amount of honey. This is a very effective natural treatment for lowering your blood pressure. You should take one glass of carrot juice. You should mix it with 2 tablespoons of honey in it. You should drink it two times per day on an empty stomach in the morning and in the evening. [8]

Ginger

This herb is used for low and high blood pressure. It has many beneficial components including certain powerful antioxidants along with plant chemicals such as zingerone, shogaol, and gingerol which can help to prevent further fluctuations in the levels of blood pressure. You should take the pot and then place two teaspoons of grated ginger in it. Then, you should pour the boiling water to fill this grated ginger into the pot. Then, you should let the seeds steep in the water for five to ten minutes. Then, you should strain the water into the cup and you should consume this water like tea, and this will help you to rid of the low blood pressure. If you want to have better results, then you should consume aniseed tea once per day until you stabilize your blood pressure levels.
