Natural treatment & home remedies for moles removal

We know that moles are skin growths which happen anywhere on the body. We know that moles are accumulated pigmented cells which appear as dark spots on the skin. They can develop in the upper and lower layers of the skin. Usually, moles happen on the face, neck, arms and legs. Also, there are some cases when moles can happen beneath the nails, on the scalp and on the toes. The size, shape and color of moles can vary from one person to another. The most common colors of moles are pink, brown, black and red and other variations of these shades.

Some moles are flat and colored spots while others are raised. The overactive melanocytes in the body are producing excess melanin which is giving rise to the moles. Also, the excessive exposure to the sunlight can lead to moles. The over-activity of oil or sebaceous glands can lead to the formation of moles. Some moles are present from the birth while other moles happen during puberty and pregnancy caused by hormonal changes. Many people want to remove moles but the procedure is expensive.

Before you start using these home remedies, you need to ask your doctor if your moles are cancerous. If you have pain, itching or burning caused by your moles then tell him. You should know that these home remedies take a long time to see results and not all home remedies work for every person.  You need to talk with your doctor about the best way for removing your moles before you start using some of the below mentioned home remedies.

Fig stem juice: It is known that the juice of fig stem acts as an exfoliant and it removes the moles from the roots [1]. You will need a piece of fig stem and Q – tip. You should extract the juice from the fig stem and you should rub it on the affected areas using Q – tip. You should let this juice to stay on the affected area for two to three hours. You should wash the affected area using plain water. You should repeat this natural treatment three times per day.

Grapefruit seed extract: This natural cure is an astringent and it has antioxidants, such as Vitamin E. The astringent properties will make the mole fall off eventually and also, antioxidants will heal the skin. You should apply one to two drops of grapefruit seed extract directly on the mole and you should cover it with a bandage. You should remove the bandage after an hour. You should do this natural treatment two to three times in a day. [2]

Pineapple juice: Pineapple is rich in citric acid which can help to dissolve the mole. The regular application of pineapple juice will weaken the mole and also it will make it to disappear completely. You should take a small piece of pineapple and rub it on the mole for several minutes. You should let the juice to stay for a few minutes and then wash it off. You should do this type of natural treatment several times per day. [3]

Oregano oil: This home remedy has healing and antioxidant properties which can help to remove moles. You should mix 1 – 2 drops oregano oil with 1 – 2 drops castor oil. Then, apply this mixture on the mole and you should not wash it off. You should use this home remedy 2 – 3 times per day.

Tea tree oil: This home remedy has been used for centuries to treat many skin problems, like moles and warts. Tea tree oil has astringent properties which can help the mole to drop off. This home remedy is not causing side effects like burning or scarring. You should wipe the mole and the surrounding area with the cotton swab dipped in tea tree oil. You should let it stay there for as long as possible. You should do this natural treatment two to three times per day for a couple of weeks. [4]

Cauliflower: This home remedy is rich in Vitamin C and it can help to dry out the mole and make it fall off easily. You should extract the fresh cauliflower juice and then rub it on your moles. You should let this home remedy to stay there for at least thirty minutes. Then, you should wash it off using water. You should repeat this natural treatment a few times per day until the mole disappears. [5]

Onion juice: This is a very effective home remedy for removing moles. It has natural acids which can make the mole to fall off in a period of few days. This juice is safe but if you are allergic to onions, then do not use it. You should grate ¼ onion and then extract the juice. You should apply this juice on the mole and let it stay there for an hour or so. You should rinse it off using water. You need to repeat this home remedy 2 – 3 times a day.

Dandelion root: This home remedy can be used for removing moles. The root and stem have sap that has purifying properties and they can help to treat pimples, sores, moles and even warts. You will need a piece of fresh dandelion root. You should extract the milky liquid from the dandelion root and you should rub it undiluted on the mole. [6]

You should keep the juice on the affected area for one hour and then wash it off. If you are not able to find a fresh dandelion root, then you can use a dried dandelion root paste on your moles. Also, there is another option and that is to rub a dandelion stem on the mole several times per day and then wash it off after an hour. You should do this natural treatment two to three times per day so you will get the best results.

Honey: This is an inexpensive home remedy which can be found in every house. It is often used in many skin care products because it is possessing anti – inflammatory, emollient and anti – oxidant properties [7]. You should apply raw honey on your moles and then, cover it using a bandage. You should let this home remedy to stay for an hour and then remove the bandage. You should wash the area using water. You should repeat this natural treatment several times a day and you should use a fresh piece of bandage every time.

Coriander leaves: These leaves have astringent properties. When they are initially applied to the skin, they are cooling, but after that, they become hot for the skin. These properties of coriander leaves will make the mole to fall off soon. You should grind ¼ cup of coriander leaves to make a paste and apply it on the moles. You should let it stay there for ten minutes and then wash it off using warm water. You need to repeat this natural treatment on daily basis in a period of two weeks so in this way you will notice positive results. [8]

Flaxseed oil: This home remedy is used to improve the skin’s texture and get rid of blemishes and freckles. Also, it can work similarly for moles. This oil has essential fatty acids which are possessing wound healing properties. You should mix two to three drops of flaxseed oil with two to three drops of honey. You should apply this mixture on your moles and let it stay there for an hour or so. You should wash it off with water. You should apply this natural mixture two times per day. [9]

Aloe Vera: This home remedy has soothing and healing properties. It has minerals, vitamins, enzymes, tannins and polysaccharides which can restore the natural health of your skin. This home remedy works slowly for riding of skin moles so you should be patient and continue with the application of this home remedy until you get the desired results. You should clean the affected area and then apply a fresh Aloe Vera gel on it. You should cover it with a cotton bandage and let it stay there for two to three hours. You should make this type of natural treatment two times per day. [10]

Turmeric: This home remedy has Vitamin C which can help you to rid of the moles. Also, it can help to increase the healing process of your skin. This home remedy will ensure you that no marks will be left behind by the mole. You should crush one Vitamin C tablet and mix it with one teaspoon of turmeric powder. You should add a few drops of honey in the paste and mix it well. You should apply this paste on the mole and let it dry naturally for fifteen to twenty minutes. You should rinse it off using plain water. You need to repeat this natural treatment two times per day.

Potato: This natural cur has bleaching compounds which can help the mole to lighten and eventually fade it. You should rub a small piece of potato on the mole for a minute or two. You should let the potato juice to stay on your moles. Also, you can put a small piece of potato on the mole and cover it with a bandage. You should let it stay there for four to seven days. It is noticed that as the potato decomposes, the mole will slough off. You should use this home remedy two times per day to slough off the mole completely. [11]
