Tagetes essential oil has many health benefits which can be attributed to its properties as sedative, insecticide, disinfectant, anti – spasmodic, antiseptic, anti – parasitic, antimicrobial and antibiotic substance. Tagetes is also known by a few other names, including Marie Gold and Khaki Bush. It is believed that this herb is native to Africa. From this continent, it is spread to Australia, Europe and America. The scientific name of this herb is Tagetes Minuta. Tagetes is highly valued as an antiseptic, anti – parasitic and insect repellent agent.
