Natural treatment & home remedies for peeling lips

The peeling lips can be annoying condition for every single person. You should take a small amount of this home remedy and apply it on your lips. You should scrub your lips with this mixture for a minute or so and then wash it off. You can store the rest of this natural cure in an airtight container for up to seven days. The sugar and baking soda have exfoliant properties. Also, the baking soda will soothe the burning sensation which accompanied the peeling lips. The vanilla extract will add a pleasant flavor to this mixture.

Sugar

You should mix one teaspoon of brown sugar (if you do not have brown sugar, you can use white sugar) with a few drops of olive oil and ½ teaspoon of honey. You should not let this home remedy to dissolve. You should apply this home remedy on your lips and scrub gently in circular motions. You should wash this scrub using lukewarm water. You should use this natural cure every alternate day initially. Then, you should continue using it once or twice a week to maintain soft and smooth lips. Cocoa butter

You can use coconut butter, shea butter or ghee. You should apply small amount of coca butter on your lips and let it stay there through the night. If you do not have cocoa butter, then you can use shea butter or ghee and let it stay on your lips through the night. If you want to use buttermilk, yogurt or peanut butter, then you should let it on your lips for five to ten minutes and then, rinse it off. You should do this natural treatment every day in a period of few days. The yogurt and buttermilk have skin nourishing fats. They act as mild astringents.

Green tea

You should dip one green tea bag in hot water in a period of few minutes. You should put the green tea bag on your lips. You should let it stay there for a few minutes. You should repeat this natural treatment once per day. The green tea has antioxidants and tannins which can help to heal the dry and dehydrated skin on your lips. Also, it will give you a relief from the burning sensation which you can experience due to the dryness.

Aloe Vera

You should cut the Aloe Vera leaf sideways and scoop out the gel into a container. You should apply this gel on your lips and let it stay there through the night. You should store the remaining gel in the airtight container. You should keep it in fridge if you live in a hot and temperate climate. You should apply the Aloe Vera gel on your lips regularly before you go to bed. This natural cure has natural ingredients which can soothe the chapped skin and it will gently remove the dead layer of skin cells. Rose petals

You should soak five to six rose petals in ¼ cup of raw milk for two to three hours. You should gently mash the petals in the milk to get a paste – like consistency. You should apply this home remedy on your lips and let it stay there for twenty minutes. You should rinse it with cold water. You should do this home remedy every day in a period of one week or so. It is known that the rose petals have skin nourishing properties because they have Vitamin E. Also, they can help to retain the natural color of your lips. Milk has lactic acid which can gently exfoliate the dead skin from the surface of your lips. The minerals, vitamins and essential fats in the milk can help to hydrate and nourish the dried lips.

Honey and Vaseline

You should apply a layer of honey on your lips. Then, you should apply a layer of Vaseline on the top of it. You should let it stay there for ten to fifteen minutes. You should use a damp tissue or a damp cloth to wipe it off. You should repeat this natural treatment in a period of week to get lasting results. Honey has antibacterial properties and it is one of the best natural healing agents. Vaseline is widely used to soften and nourish the skin and prevent it from drying. When you are combining these two ingredients, then you will get a very effective home remedy against peeling lips.

Almond oil

You can use the almond oil to rid of the peeling lips. This natural cure has high levels of fatty acids and a long history in the use of eczema. You should apply a few drops of almond oil on your lips. People who have a history of almond allergies should not use this home remedy.

Vitamin E oil

The Vitamin E is water – soluble vitamin which is providing a heavier moisture barrier than the water – soluble products. You can apply it straight on your lips and you will get a moisture barrier to soothe your dry lips.
